The big grey peas at Zutiņi farm are for everyone to sort. Time-consuming and fiddly, but on a family farm there is no other way. There is no shortage of work on the farm all year round. Not only ploughing and sowing, but also fighting with flocks of geese.

"Because of the geese, we only sow peas around the house, so that when the geese land, we can chase them away. Here we grow big pole beans. Legacy crops. The last pods are finally ripe," said Rūta Beirote, the owner of Zutiņi.
