Scientists have managed to capture the first radio signal from the cosmic object 3I/ATLAS, which is gradually approaching Earth. This was reported by The Astronomer's Telegram. "Absorption was detected in the 1665 MHz and 1667 MHz lines," the publication states. The signal was intercepted on October 24 using the MeerKAT radio telescope located in South Africa. It is noted that previous attempts to detect the signal at the same absorption lines had failed. As Harvard University scientist Avi Loeb explained, on March 16, 2026, when 3I/ATLAS passes by Jupiter, the spacecraft "Juno" will attempt to capture a signal from the object at low frequencies. The cosmic object 3I/ATLAS was spotted on July 1. Later, scientists established that it is a comet from another star system. They also managed to determine the approximate age of the object, which is over 7.5 billion years — 3 billion years older than the Sun. In September, 3I/ATLAS underwent "anomalous evolution," beginning to change its color. Previously, Congressman Tim Burchett stated in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that he had heard reports from the military about observing a large and fast UFO in the ocean, which could not be constructed with Earth technologies. According to him, this object reaches underwater speeds of 320 km/h and is the size of a football field. Burchett claims that the mysterious object could not be a secret military technology, as the leadership of the American military would not risk their own planes and submarines by approaching them so closely.
