The biennale aims to bring together artists from around the world whose works relate to automatism, biomorphism, dadaism, metaphysical art, surrealism in a contemporary understanding, and technologies. The biennale is also conceived as a platform for experiments, showcasing the works of artists and new ideas. In addition to the main exhibition, the Riga Biennale of Contemporary Surrealism will offer a variety of events, including artist meetings, panel discussions, competitions, interviews, and publications. The exhibition will feature works by contemporary surrealists from the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Romania, Germany, Finland, and other countries.
