ILGA-Europe has produced the Rainbow Map and Index since 2009, using it to illustrate the legal and policy situation of LGBTI people in Europe.
Latvia has moved up two places from last year, ranking 32nd in Europe (34th last year).
Latvia scored 29.64% (last year 25.74%), slightly ahead of Lithuania (24.09%) but a long way behind Estonia (46.37%). Latvia remains below the European Union average score of 52.27%.
