In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the Turkish-operated tankers Altura and Velora were attacked. The strike occurred while cargo was being transferred from one vessel to another, the publication stated. Another tanker, James II, was also attacked, according to the Equasis database, it is operated by an Indian company. The port agent's report did not specify what damages the tankers sustained. The publication notes that all three tankers are subject to international sanctions for their involvement with the Russian shadow fleet, which Moscow uses to export its oil and petroleum products bypassing sanctions.
