As the project organisers note, this will be one of the first projects of this scale in Latvia aimed at ensuring that light installations can not only be seen but also fully experienced by people with various sensory impairments, including the blind and visually impaired.
Marija Kožarina, Chair of the Board of "Socintegra," emphasises that until now, opportunities for people with visual impairments to fully participate in cultural events of this kind have been very limited.
