Люди идут в парижский Диснейленд

According to the British publication "The Guardian," citing an analysis of recent corporate reports, the famous entertainment complex has not been able to fully recoup its initial and subsequent capital investments in its 34 years of operation. Since its opening in 1992, the American corporation Disney has invested a total of $6.8 billion in the development and support of the French site, but the company has not yet managed to recover these funds in full. According to the official financial report for the year ending September 30, this tourist attraction demonstrated the best results among all similar international resorts of the company outside the United States. The net profit of the managing entity for the specified twelve-month period reached a record $304.2 million. This was aided by the implementation of a new dynamic pricing system for entrance tickets and services. However, the current high earnings of the park, which is visited by about 16 million people annually, are still not enough to offset the accumulated debt balance over the decades. Throughout its 34 years of operational activity, Paris Disneyland has shown a net positive profit for the year only 13 times. To date, the total amount of uncompensated cumulative losses for Disney related to the French project stands at a staggering $4.2 billion. Experts attribute these figures to the heavy debt burden from the early years of the complex's operation, as well as a number of external crises, including the pandemic and regional instability.
