After losing out to Lithuania at the weekend on penalties following a 1:1 draw in regular time, Latvia played the Faroe Islands on Tuesday in the third/fourth place playoff match.
The best that can be said about the game is that at least the sun finally came out. By the time the whistle finally sounded, Latvia were on the end of a humbling 1:0 loss to the part-timers from the middle of the North Sea.
