Compared to the survey results in November 2025, the satisfaction index of residents with the work of the council decreased from -0.9 to -4.6 in May. 46% of respondents rated the work of the Riga City Council negatively, while 43% rated it positively. The assessment of the council's work differs significantly between citizens and non-citizens. Citizens rated the council's work more positively in May than respondents without citizenship. The assessment index for citizens was +0.1, while non-citizens rated it at -26.6. Respondents aged 18 to 34, those with higher education, those who primarily speak Latvian at home, those working in the public sector, as well as survey participants with medium-high or high incomes living in the Vidzeme suburb, Kurzeme district, and Zemgale suburb rated the council's work more positively. Respondents aged 45 and older, those with basic or secondary education, Russian speakers, those employed in the private sector, and those living in the Latgale suburb and Ziemele district rated the council's work more critically. The survey was conducted in May of this year, with 804 declared residents of Riga aged 18 to 75 participating.
