The absolute leader in the number of speeches is Arturs Butans from the National Alliance - he took the podium 381 times. Close behind him is independent deputy Viktoria Pleskane, who spoke 366 times. Next is Edmunds Zivtiņš from the party "Latvia First", who spoke 329 times. His party colleagues are also quite active speakers: among the top are Ainars Slesers, who has not worked in the Saeima for a year, Linda Liepiņa, and Ramona Petraviča. Since the new government led by Andris Kulbergs began its work only at the end of May, and before that both the "United List" and the National Alliance were in opposition, it can be concluded that the most active speakers were indeed representatives of the opposition. Among the parties of the previous government coalition, only one deputy frequently took the podium - Andris Šuvajev from the "Progressives", who spoke 234 times. And who spoke the least? This list does not include those who served as Saeima deputies for a month or less. However, among those who spent a longer time in the Saeima, Ligita Gintere from the Union of Greens and Farmers did not speak at all during the analyzed period, although she has been working in the Saeima for 32 months. Arnold Jatnieks from the National Alliance, Viktor Puchka from the party "For Stability!", and independent deputy Efimiy Klementyev each spoke three times. They have served in the Saeima for 17, 34, and 43 months, respectively. Closing this list is Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš with seven speeches, but he has only spent five months in the deputy chair. "Panorama" interviewed some of these deputies. "I was not an active speaker. I valued more what was being said, and I believe that there is no need to repeat the same thing multiple times. There should be meaning in a speech. Moreover, the coalition coordinates all decisions, and I did not consider it necessary to speak at the podium just for the sake of it," Gintere explained. "My motto is to talk less and do more. That’s how I acted," Klementyev noted.
