Today, Janis Dombrova, the Minister of the Interior, turned 38. He celebrated his birthday in the minister's chair, which he reminded everyone of on social media: "The new year of life will begin - in a different position than before. Now a great responsibility is placed on me before the state and the people. The better the work is done, the safer the country we will live in. Some will think I’m crazy for promoting many things because it will provoke opposition from Russia, organized crime, or other interested parties. A politician must beware of opposition. It’s good that the field of internal affairs is full of 'crazy' people willing to refuse a bribe from a drunk driver, ready to arrest murderers and thwart the plans of Russian special services. This is a responsibility to these people. This is a responsibility to the numerous supporters of the National Alliance who have given a mandate to act - in creating a stronger, safer Latvian Latvia. As long as there is such an opportunity, I will use the possibilities provided by the ministry to strengthen our country in this year of life!"
