According to meteorologists' forecasts, on Monday the sky over Latvia will often be covered with cumulus rain clouds. In many areas, there will be brief rain showers, and thunderstorms with intense downpours are possible in some places. However, the precipitation will not be prolonged. Throughout the day, the cloud cover will become less dense, and the sun will occasionally peek through. The air temperature will remain moderate — during the day, it is expected to be between +15 and +20 degrees. The warmest weather is forecasted for the central regions of the country. The wind will be from the west and northwest, of moderate strength. Along the seaside, gusts may reach 15–17 meters per second. In the afternoon, the wind will gradually shift to the west and southwest. Residents should keep in mind that the weather can change very quickly during the passage of thunderstorm clouds. Even if the sun is shining in the morning, heavy rain and gusty winds can occur within minutes. In Riga, periodic rain is also forecasted, and isolated thunderstorm clouds may bring heavy downpours. However, after lunch, the likelihood of precipitation will decrease, and sunny breaks will appear. The thermometer readings in the capital will rise to about +20 degrees, and gusts of the west and southwest wind may reach 15 meters per second. As the day progresses, the weather will become calmer, so the second half of Monday will be more favorable for walks and outdoor work.
