In the only multimedia space in Riga with a 360° overview, the most famous paintings of the artist come to life through large-scale projections, music, and narration in Latvian led by actress Iveta Pole. This unique art project is available only until the end of July. Unlike a traditional art exhibition, here viewers do not stand in front of paintings – they find themselves at the center of the action. Colors flow across the walls and floor, brush strokes transform into movement, and the story of Van Gogh's life unfolds as an emotional journey through his creative quests, dreams, and experiences. Digital projections are placed in a continuous space of 150 square meters, where 35 projectors with a total resolution of over 80 million pixels create a high-quality, fully immersive 360-degree image. This captivating artistic experience focuses on the most iconic works of the artist, which have become symbols of world culture. Visitors can immerse themselves in the swirling sky of "Starry Night," a painting created in 1889 and considered one of the most recognizable works of art in the world. In it, Van Gogh transforms the night sky into a vision full of movement, light, and emotions, where reality and imagination intertwine. The exhibition also features a special place for the series of works "Sunflowers," which has become a symbol of Van Gogh's creative style. The bright yellow tones, which once amazed his contemporaries, reflect the artist's desire to express light, friendship, and the energy of life through color. Throughout the journey, viewers will also become acquainted with other periods of Van Gogh's work – from his early pieces in the Netherlands to the sun-drenched landscapes of Provence, where many of his most famous masterpieces were created. This captivating artistic journey reveals not only the development of the artist's creativity but also his extraordinary ability to express human emotions through color, light, and movement. Although Van Gogh sold only a few paintings during his lifetime and did not receive widespread recognition, today his works are among the most recognizable in the world, inspiring millions of people and becoming an integral part of the world's cultural heritage. The immersive art project "Van Gogh" in Riga is implemented by the Tallinn Museum of Pop Art and Contemporary Art "PoCo" in collaboration with "Phoenix Immersive." This is the same creative team that also created the multimedia exhibition "Da Vinci: The Genius," which has garnered significant interest and positive feedback from visitors since its opening. Both projects are based on high-quality immersive technologies that allow viewers to engage with art and cultural heritage in a modern, captivating, and emotionally engaging way.
