After the screening, the audience will be treated to an intimate concert by the brilliant soloist of the Latvian National Opera, soprano Inna Klochko, who performed one of the leading roles in the new film. "ALLEGRO MODERATO" is a musical film fantasy about memory, love, and the power of art that can unite people even when familiar ways of communication become impossible. The main character is an opera singer whose mother is gradually losing her memory due to Alzheimer's disease. Confronted with this painful reality, she finds refuge in a world of music, imagination, and fantasy, where the boundaries between reality and illusion begin to blur. The film is included in the official program of the ARFF Amsterdam International Film Festival 2026 and has also been selected for participation in the film festival in Los Angeles. "As people age, they ponder over old age. What will it be like? Where will it take place? Gradually, loved ones pass away, and some live out their days in a difficult state, slowly losing their memory. What is it like not to recognize a loved one? What is it like to live in an imagined world that an artist might escape to? Perhaps there they communicate with each other, or there exists some tunnel through which creativity makes it possible to meet these different worlds," says the director Maria de Valukoff about the idea of the film "ALLEGRO MODERATO." A special event of the evening will be the performance by Inna Klochko, a laureate of international competitions and a soloist of the Latvian National Opera. She will perform arias from operas by Giacomo Puccini. She participated in the opera festival in Rheinsberg, performing the role of Agathe in Carl Maria von Weber's opera "Der Freischütz," at the International Opera Festival with German director Andreas Kriegenburg. At the Latvian National Opera, she brilliantly performed the roles of Lisa in P.I. Tchaikovsky's opera "The Queen of Spades," Elisabeth de Valois in Klaus Guth's production of "Don Carlos," Jenůfa in the eponymous opera by Leoš Janáček, Nedda in Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera "Pagliacci," Mimì in Giacomo Puccini's opera "La Bohème," and others.
