On the first day of summer school - July 14 at 11:00 AM - participants will join museum educators to explore the works of Italian artists and designers at the exhibition "Fascination: 50 Years of Italian Ceramics," discovering how diverse, amazing, and fantastic ceramics can be. During the session, children will study the works from the exhibition, sketch the most interesting patterns and shapes, and learn about the colors, images, and stories of sunny Italy. As part of creative assignments, participants will experiment with materials, developing imagination, observation skills, and design thinking. In the afternoon, the kids will create their own items from cardboard, colored paper, magazine cutouts, and other materials. In the workshop, children will produce unique works inspired by the forms and ideas of contemporary ceramics.
