Currently, the capital has one of the lowest tourist taxes in Europe – one euro per night. In Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga, it is 2 euros per night, and in many other places even higher. A tax of 1.5 euros per night has also been introduced in Kuldīga from this year.
From January 1st, 2027 the tourist tax will increase to two euros. The total amount of the fee will not exceed 17.80 euros for any total continuous stay in the tourist accommodation.
