The center of the musical event was the White Piano, set up at the Town Hall Square. The main characters of the event were the world-famous opera diva Inessa Galante, internationally recognized pianist Andrey Osokin, and the innovative Lithuanian string ensemble NICO Ensemble (New Ideas Chamber Orchestra) led by its artistic director, Lithuanian composer Gediminas Gelgotas. Andrey Osokin performed works by Jānis Mediņš - Daina No. 6 and Daina No. 14, Inessa Galante presented a medley of famous and beloved opera arias, and NICO Ensemble performed a piece by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi. One of the most striking artistic solutions of the performance was the appearance of NICO Ensemble musicians in the windows of the Riga City Council building, which literally 'bloomed' in honor of the event. On August 22, all the artists will meet again on the stage of the Dzintari Concert Hall for the festive concert program GALA GALANTE. Viva La Musica!, dedicated to the laureates of the international award Baltijas Balva / Baltic Awards. Residents of Riga and guests of the capital witnessed an unusual musical event, where the urban space transformed into a stage for one evening, and the historical architecture of Old Riga became an integral part of the artistic concept and a beautiful backdrop.
