"This is certainly not an ordinary event. Russia has not conducted weapon exercises on Lake Chud. In this sense, it is something new," said Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur. Although Estonia knows which agency or unit organized the exercises, Pevkur did not disclose this information. According to him, it seems that the participants in the exercises were tasked with combating maritime drones. "Fire was directed at a moving target on the water. Perhaps the weather did not allow them to be conducted in the Gulf of Finland, or for some other reason they took place on Lake Chud.
