Украина и еще девять европейских стран договорились создать коалицию по разработке единой системы защиты от баллистических ракет.

Paris. Ukraine and nine other European countries announced on Monday the creation of a coalition that will work on developing a pan-European ballistic missile defense system. The corresponding statement was made at the meeting of the "Coalition of Goodwill" taking place in Paris. "Our goal is to create a common missile defense system for Europe," the joint statement of the ten countries reads. The document was signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as the leaders of Denmark, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Germany, and Sweden. Coalition participants noted that they recognize the growing threat from ballistic missiles and consider it necessary to develop a joint response. "We believe that a comprehensive solution is needed to protect Europe — an integrated missile defense system capable of deterring and neutralizing future missile threats," the statement emphasizes. So far, coalition participants have not specified a timeline for the creation of the new missile defense system. At the same time, they emphasize that the initiative remains open for the joining of other European states. The creation of the new coalition indicates the desire of European countries to strengthen collective security amid ongoing missile threats. At the same time, a key role in the development of the future missile defense system is planned to be assigned to Ukraine's experience in countering modern missile attacks.
