The evening dress, gifted to the museum for the brand's 37th anniversary, was created for a collection first presented at London Fashion Week in 2012 as part of the spring-summer 2013 season. Previously, this dress was showcased in Latvia at the retrospective exhibition FYODOR GOLAN "Harmony of Collision," held in 2024. The collection is inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky's film "The Holy Mountain," whose surreal aesthetic combines ethnographic, historical, and pop culture motifs. The orange silk dress gifted to the museum is complemented by cobalt blue embroidery that merges references to the tradition of Native American tattoos and illustrations by German naturalist Ernst Haeckel. The design of the embroidery and technical solutions were developed by Latvian designer and one of the brand's founders, Fyodor Podgorny. As stated by the museum, the new exhibition complements the collection of contemporary fashion and documents the achievements of Latvian designers on the international fashion stage. The fashion brand FYODOR GOLAN was founded in London in 2009 by Podgorny together with Israeli designer Golan Friedman. The brand gained international recognition by participating in global fashion weeks and receiving the prestigious "Fashion Fringe Award." Its works have been published in leading fashion magazines, and the brand's clothing has been worn by global stars such as Madonna, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Ariana Grande. The brand has also collaborated with Latvian opera singer Kristine Opolais.
