In Germany, the high-speed ICE train traveling from the island of Sylt to Berlin was forced to make an unscheduled stop due to an unexpected problem — the toilet paper on board had run out, [reports](https://nos.nl/artikel/2623195-toiletpapier-op-duitse-trein-stilgezet-conducteur-naar-supermarkt) NOS. The train stopped at Hamburg-Bergedorf station, where one of the conductors literally rushed to the nearest supermarket. In a video posted on Instagram, the railway employee can be seen returning to the platform with three large packs of toilet paper and hurrying back to the train. According to one passenger, the supply of toilet paper had not been replenished before departure from the island of Sylt. To avoid leaving passengers without such a necessary "service," the train staff decided to replenish the shortage on the way. The German railway company Deutsche Bahn confirmed the unusual incident. The company explained that the occurrence was due to a temporary failure in replenishing supplies and promised to reimburse the conductor for all expenses incurred in purchasing the toilet paper. The author of the video called the railway employee the "employee of the month," noting his responsibility and ability to quickly find practical solutions. It seems that sometimes even the most modern high-speed train can stop not due to a technical malfunction, but because of the most ordinary... toilet paper. However, passengers surely appreciated that comfort was no less important to the conductor than adhering to the schedule.
