The exhibition is created as part of the project "Revelaciones Cromáticas de Aves Colombianas – Develando la Cartografía del Vuelo," dedicated to exploring the color spectrum that is inaccessible to the human eye. Unlike humans, who distinguish colors thanks to three types of receptors, many birds are capable of seeing ultraviolet radiation. Using digital technologies, the artist visualizes these hidden shades, transforming scientific data into vibrant artworks. As noted by Sergio Mantilla Soler himself, the project is inspired by the richness of Colombia's nature — a country considered a world leader in the number of bird species. Through his works, he aims to showcase the beauty of this unique biodiversity and provide viewers with a new perspective on the surrounding nature. The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Colombia in Latvia, Robert Binde, reported that the artist's works have already been exhibited at more than 70 international exhibitions, including Dubai Expo, Berlin Science Week, and Beijing Design Week. After the show in Riga, the exhibition will continue its journey across the country and will be available to residents and guests of Daugavpils in August. The project aims to introduce visitors to Colombia's natural and cultural heritage, as well as to draw attention to the unique diversity of its flora and fauna.
