Saeima deputy from the National Alliance Arturs Butāns, in his comment on social media regarding the outcomes of the extraordinary parliamentary session, noted: "We made a historic decision in accordance with the verdict of the Constitutional Court - starting from January 1, 2027, public media will no longer produce content in Russian at the state's expense." Yes, the Saeima supported amendments to the Law on the Management of Public Media, which will lead to the cessation of publications, as well as audio and video content in the languages of national minorities in public media. These languages will only be allowed in emergency situations.
