Media reports that Igor Krutoy's apartments in Miami have been seized. The reason is the police's claims, which have identified fraud in the composer's actions. Therefore, the property, valued at around 14 million dollars, cannot be sold or transferred to another person at this time. The spacious apartment spans 450 square meters and is located on a private island in Miami. Access can only be gained by water via a ferry or by air via helicopter. The musician originally purchased this property for 7.5 million dollars. Among the nearest neighbors are influential figures, including Jeff Bezos, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner. The current market valuation of the property approaches 14 million dollars, with annual maintenance costs reaching approximately 140,000 dollars. Interestingly, 500 meters from these apartments is another apartment linked to the Krutoy family. It also offers a view and is valued at around 30 million dollars, but it is registered in the name of Olga Krutaya and a trust fund controlled by her. What happened to Krutoy's property? To understand this, we need to recall 2017, when entrepreneur Oleg Burlakov decided to purchase the property from the composer, using a trust fund intended for his children for the transaction. However, plans were disrupted by tragedy: in 2021, the businessman died from the consequences of a coronavirus infection, and the agreement was not finalized. Last year, Burlakov's relatives — his sister and daughters — accused the Krutoy family, claiming that funds were transferred, but the transfer of ownership never occurred. As a result, in the fall of 2025, a court in the U.S. issued a ruling to seize the apartments. Legal restrictions prohibit any transactions involving the property — sale, gifting, or re-registration; however, state law allows the property to be rented out. After the seizure, the residence was listed for rent at 65,000 dollars per month, then the price was lowered to 50,000, and by May 2026, a tenant was found. Currently, the legal proceedings have been paused, and further consideration of the case has been postponed until the resolution of inheritance issues related to Oleg Burlakov's property in the UK, Monaco, and Latvia. Representatives of the Krutoy family declined to comment on the situation. Previously, they publicly stated that they are no longer the owners of this residence; however, court documents still list Igor Krutoy and his wife Olga as defendants.
