Farmers in Talsi municipality, where the rainfall was particularly heavy, are currently trying to get their machinery onto the wet fields to harvest rapeseed, whilst some are still waiting for drier weather.
A couple of weeks ago, farmers managed to harvest winter barley and also began harvesting rapeseed. However, due to the heavy rain and storms, work came to a standstill at the weekend and during these working days.
