The EU will allocate an additional €8 billion to Kyiv in 2026, but on the condition of implementing reforms. The European Commission has confirmed plans to send Ukraine an additional €8.35 billion under the Ukraine Facility mechanism - a long-term financial aid program from the European Union to Ukraine. This was reported by a Deutsche Welle correspondent in Brussels. According to European Commission representative Guillaume Mercier, the funds will only be allocated after Kyiv fulfills the agreed reforms. The updated Ukraine Plan - a document outlining the conditions for receiving payments under the Ukraine Facility program - includes 27 new reform stages. The exact date of the first tranche was not specified by the European Commission. However, Mercier reminded that requests for payments under the Ukraine Facility are submitted every three months, so another request from Ukraine can be expected soon.
