Pitbull

The possibility of rescheduling the canceled Pitbull concert in Riga still exists. This was stated by Minister of Economics Viktor Valainis after a meeting with representatives of the Consumer Rights Protection Center (CRPC) and the event organizers. According to him, a final decision has not yet been made, but the organizers do not rule out that the concert may be held later. "It is quite obvious that the concert will not take place today, but the possibility of rescheduling remains," the minister noted. Valainis reminded that ticket holders have two options. The first is to exercise their legal right to demand a full refund of the ticket price within 14 days after the event's cancellation. The second is to wait for the organizers' decision on a possible new concert date. In this case, already purchased tickets will remain valid. The Consumer Rights Protection Center reported that they continue to monitor the situation. CRPC Director Zaiga Liepina noted that the interaction with the organizers is currently constructive, and the actions being taken comply with legal requirements. The agency also recommends that spectators keep their tickets and payment confirmations, as well as follow the official announcements from the organizers and the ticket seller. If the money is not refunded within the legally established period, one should first contact the organizer in writing to resolve the issue out of court. At the same time, the agency LETA has not yet been able to obtain a comment from the organizers themselves. The official announcement of the concert's cancellation was made on the evening of July 28 — less than a day before it was scheduled to take place. The organizers explained their decision by technical problems that arose during the setup of the concert infrastructure, stating that there was not enough time to safely resolve the issues and prepare the venue. As long as the concert is not officially rescheduled, ticket holders are not required to immediately request a refund. If the organizers announce a new date, the purchased tickets will remain valid. At the same time, each spectator has the right to refuse to wait and demand a full refund within the legally established period.
