According to the survey, 49% of respondents stated that Netanyahu should be detained in connection with the warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. 27% of survey participants opposed the arrest, while another 23% were undecided. The strongest support for this position came from Democratic Party supporters — 68%. Among Republicans, 24% of respondents supported the arrest, while among independent voters, the figure was 55%. The authors of the study note that similar results were obtained in response to the question of whether Americans consider Netanyahu guilty of war crimes. The U.S. does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, and the administration of President Donald Trump previously rejected accusations against Israel and imposed sanctions on ICC officials. Israel also categorically denies allegations of committing war crimes.
