Ivan Yedeshko began his playing career at Minsk's Spartak, then played for Minsk RTI, and from 1970 to 1980, with a short break, he played for Moscow's CSKA. In 1972, at the Munich Olympics, he became an Olympic champion as part of the USSR national team.
