Today, the Left Bank Festival will take place in Victory Park, which will kick off the 'Summer of Riga' program and a series of events dedicated to the birthday of the capital. In the first half of the day, young Latvian performers and bands representing various genres of contemporary music will perform on stage. The audience will enjoy performances by the groups Laiki, Gaisaa, and Idille, as well as Robert Pejcs and his band. The organizers have focused not only on concerts. At the entrance, visitors will receive the 'Riga Passport' — a special map that will help them navigate the festival area and get acquainted with various event venues. Throughout the day, a performance zone will operate, combining music, contemporary art, and scientific projects. For children, a sensory theater performance dedicated to the water cycle in nature has been prepared, as well as an interactive science show AHHAA with experiments and demonstrations. Active leisure enthusiasts are invited to the skate park. There, there will be demonstrations by professionals in BMX, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scooter sports. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and try their hand at these disciplines. The Left Bank Festival will essentially mark the beginning of a month-long program celebrating the birthday of Riga. Various cultural and entertainment events are planned in the city throughout August. Simultaneously with the program's opening, a presentation of a new mural will take place on the building at 46 Eduards Smiļģa Street. Also today, from 12:00 to 17:00, an exhibition by Madara Vilistere titled 'Burnout' can be visited at 6B Ojāra Vācieša Street. The culmination of the festive program will be the event 'Open Riga! Code: 825', which will take place on August 15 at the 11th November Embankment.
