The tragedy occurred in the afternoon on the coast of the Black Sea. In the footage, the authenticity of which was confirmed by Reuters, a drone or its debris can be seen falling onto the beach, followed by a powerful explosion, reports NOS. According to CNN, just seconds before the explosion, the recording captures bursts from at least three units of weaponry, which may indicate the operation of air defense systems. The governor of the Krasnodar region reported that seven people, including three children, were killed. About 40 more people were injured. Russian authorities claim that this was a targeted attack by a Ukrainian drone on a civilian object. However, it was previously reported that the tragedy could have been caused by falling debris from a downed drone. The Ukrainian side has not confirmed that a Ukrainian drone was used. At the same time, a senior representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated in a comment to CNN that the tragedy was a result of Russian air defense systems shooting down a drone over a crowded beach. According to him, Ukraine strikes exclusively at military and economic targets in Russia. On the same day, Ukraine again attacked a warehouse of the Russian online retailer Wildberries in one of the regions east of Moscow.
