As noted by law enforcement, the damaged roads are the only direct connection between the western and eastern parts of Garburg, and it is now impossible to drive on them. Residents now have to detour several kilometers, and road services were working on organizing detour routes on Wednesday morning. It is still unknown when the damages will be repaired. The police reported that traffic disruptions may continue until the morning rush hour. A technical specialist from Deutsche Bahn has been informed of the incident; however, repairs may take some time due to numerous other malfunctions caused by weather conditions. Until then, the barriers will remain closed. The police also warned drivers not to use unofficial detours and not to attempt to bypass the lowered barriers.
