In the Brazilian city of Cuiabá, the administrative center of the state of Mato Grosso, capybaras have become regular visitors to the local parliament. The largest rodents in the world enter the legislative assembly building without any fear, stroll through the corridors, and unexpectedly appear right during votes and meetings of the deputies.  Last week, the animals once again caught politicians off guard as they were preparing for another vote. Parliament employee Nayara Bueno filmed two capybaras calmly wandering across the marble floor of the building, as if they had come for their own business. Capybaras are semi-aquatic herbivorous animals widely distributed in South America. Due to their calm nature, they often coexist with humans, but their visits to government institutions have become a true local attraction. The unusual visitors do not show aggression and have already become a kind of symbol of the Mato Grosso legislative assembly, regularly bringing smiles to the faces of employees and deputies.
