North Korea Tests Ballistic Missile Again: What is Known About the New Launch

North Korea conducted yet another ballistic missile test. The launch was detected on Wednesday morning by the military of South Korea. According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, the missile was fired around 6:00 AM local time from the area of Wonsan towards the Sea of Japan. The Ministry of Defense of Japan also reported the launch. Preliminary information indicates that the missile fell into the sea. This is the second ballistic missile launch reported by Tokyo and Seoul in less than a week. Such tests regularly lead to heightened tensions in the region and provoke reactions from neighboring countries.
