Such a busy agenda as tomorrow's is rarely seen in the Saeima, even during regular sessions! Tomorrow's meeting will take place in an extraordinary format, as de jure the parliament is still on break! Due to the packed agenda, the meeting may extend into the late evening. The key issue that is expected to spark very long debates concerns airBaltic - deputies will consider an urgent reading of the actual stabilization plan for the national airline. It is also expected that deputies will approve, after revisions, the Immigration Law, which, as a reminder, the president returned to parliament. Deputies are expected to vote against the Ministry of Economy's proposal (at the president's request!) to maintain the residence permit program in exchange for investments in real estate. Deputies will review in the second reading amendments that have been submitted to the package of bills as part of the reform of oversight over non-bank creditors. The Servants of the People will adopt in the final reading amendments to the Consumer Rights Protection Law, which prohibit requiring service personnel (salespeople, hairdressers, managers, waiters, etc.) to have knowledge of and use foreign languages. In addition, the changes effectively ban the use of the Russian language in menus, consumer information, ordering applications, etc. The agenda of the plenary session also includes requests from the opposition - in particular, a request addressed to the Minister of Health regarding the catastrophic medical services in the regions. Deputies also requested clarifications regarding Kulbergs' participation in the campaign trip to Liepaja - during his visit to this city, the prime minister "mixed" a working visit of the head of government with a promotional trip as a candidate for deputy in the Saeima elections!
