After the scandal involving the leak of data of 1.2 million individuals and 200,000 legal entities, the council and board of the CSDD - Road Traffic Safety Directorate resigned, as is known. Just now, the Ministry of Transport has approved the temporary council of this monopolistic state enterprise. "Today, August 20, an extraordinary shareholders' meeting of the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (RTSD) was convened at the Ministry of Transport, where a temporary council of the RTSD was elected to ensure the continuous management of the enterprise and the stability of its operations. Girts Ozols was elected as the chairman of the temporary council, while Liga Ermane and Ivars Salinsh are members of the council. The current chairman of the board of the State Joint Stock Company 'Latvian State Radio and Television Centre' (LSRTC), Girts Ozols, has been elected as the chairman of the temporary council of the RTSD. He has over 25 years of management experience in the fields of telecommunications, information and communication technologies, electromobility, and entrepreneurship development, including the last ten years in leadership positions at LSRTC and in the Latvian telecommunications sector. Girts Ozols holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Riga Technical University and has furthered his knowledge in corporate governance at the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance, completing educational programs for board members and chairpersons. Liga Ermane, the current council member of the State Joint Stock Company 'Latvijas pasts', has been elected as a member of the temporary council of the RTSD. She has many years of experience in financial management, corporate governance, and financial strategic development of enterprises. She has built her professional career mainly in the fields of finance, real estate management, aviation, postal services, and healthcare, holding leadership positions in both state and private sector companies. Liga Ermane holds a Master's degree in Financial Management from the Higher Banking School and a Master's degree in Society Management from the University of Latvia. Ivars Salinsh has been elected as a member of the temporary council of the RTSD. He is an experienced manager with many years of experience in transport and strategic management. Previously, he worked at the State Joint Stock Company 'Latvijas gaisa satiksme', where he led the Department of Strategic Planning and Administrative Support, gaining significant experience in enterprise development planning, management, implementation of investment projects, and corporate governance issues. Additionally, he has experience in public safety and transport. Ivars Salinsh holds a Master's degree in Law from the Latvian Police Academy. The main task of the newly elected temporary council is to ensure the continuity of the enterprise's management and to make the necessary decisions to ensure the stable operation of the RTSD. At the same time, the Ministry of Transport will soon organize an open competition for the positions of council and board members of the RTSD, so that permanent governing bodies are selected in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance," the Ministry of Transport stated in a press release.
