Ukrainian drones struck the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Perm Krai, Russia, on the night of Friday. The attack was reported by Ukrainian media, citing monitoring channels that published photos and videos from the scene. The footage shows a fire at the facility. Perm Krai is located more than a thousand kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Such a range of the strike once again demonstrates Ukraine's ability to hit targets deep within Russian territory. Due to the drone attack, the airport in Perm temporarily suspended operations. No information about casualties had been reported at the time of publication. To understand the scale: Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez is considered one of the largest oil refining enterprises in Russia. Its capacity exceeds 13 million tons of oil per year, and before the full-scale war, a significant portion of its output was exported. This is not the first strike on this facility. Ukrainian drones had already attacked the Perm refinery earlier, resulting in fires at the plant and temporarily disabling technological equipment. In recent months, Ukraine has regularly struck Russian oil refineries and other energy infrastructure. Kyiv views such facilities as part of the logistical and economic base supporting the conduct of the war.
