The unusual event will start on Saturday, September 5, at 8:00 PM and will end only at 11:00 AM the next day. The organizers invite visitors to spend the night among works of art and see the museum in a way that almost no one knows. Guests will be invited to explore the dimly lit exhibition halls with flashlights and check whether the museum really 'falls asleep' when there are no visitors left. The organizers jokingly suggest finding out if the 'walking' figure of Thomas Houseago will finally take a step and whether the porcelain figurines from the Kuznetsov factory will secretly start dancing on the shelves. One of the main events of the night will be an acoustic concert by SHIPSEA. Moreover, the dress code promises to be as cozy as possible: music can be enjoyed in your favorite pajamas. After the concert, guests will be offered to wrap themselves in blankets and try to fall asleep right among the works of art. A sleeping area will be set up in the Large Exhibition Hall, where the Zuzeum team will create a separate installation specifically for this night. In the Small Exhibition Hall, visitors will be able to get acquainted with an exhibition dedicated to the Latvian artist Arijs Skrīdis. For those who do not want to sleep at all, a separate program has been prepared. Together with Kino Kults, the museum will host a night marathon of animated films from the famous Japanese Studio Ghibli. Screenings will continue all night long. Another part of the program will be a special self-care zone organized in collaboration with MADARA Cosmetics. Here, guests can relax, take time for themselves, and prepare for sleep—or, on the contrary, recharge before continuing their night adventures. A gastronomic component is also included. In the evening, visitors will be offered late-night snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, and in the morning—breakfast and KALVE coffee. Throughout the night, guests will also be treated to PLŪKT tea and Rudy’s Kombucha. The Zuzeum café will operate throughout the event, so those interested can additionally order drinks and food. With the arrival of morning, the museum night will not end immediately. Participants will greet the new day with a workout together with DCH Studija, after which the unusual adventure at Zuzeum will come to an end.
