A severed power line near the village of Laši is the reason why around 1,000 households in the area are without electricity.
“We are currently replacing the pylon. Falling trees have damaged the pylon. And the same is true further along the line. Basically, the line is 12 kilometres long, and it is damaged at various points. We’re working our way along it, repairing the damage,” said Romans Isajevs, Head of the Development Section for Repairs and Construction at “Sadales tīkls”.
