Sanda Liepiņa, the director of the Providus analytical center, shared the results of a public opinion survey conducted by Providus in collaboration with sociologists from SKDS on Latvian TV this evening. Latvians were asked to evaluate the performance of the Kulbergs government. According to this survey, which was conducted from August 10 to 12, that is, before the hurricane, 61 percent of respondents rated the government's performance negatively, while 31 percent rated it positively. The rest were unable to answer. Sanda Liepiņa noted that only 15% of respondents rated the previous government positively, while 81% rated its performance negatively. Political scientist Jānis Ikstens stated on Latvian TV that the rise in the government's popularity is mainly related to the emergence of new faces in the government, primarily Andris Kulbergs. When asked which ministers have managed to extract political dividends during their time in the government (2.5 months), the political scientist first mentioned Dombrovski. "From the perspective of influencing his electorate, he is acting very strategically correct," the expert is convinced.
