The aim of the program is to develop the digital infrastructure of the humanities and social sciences, conduct research using it, and develop recommendations for various target groups. Particular attention is to be paid to digital resources of the Latvian language. Specifically, it is planned to develop lexicographic resources and language technologies, as well as to investigate the use of the language in digital media and social networks. The program also provides for further development of digital resources for the **Livonian and Latgalian languages**. In addition, researchers will need to prepare recommendations for ensuring the accessibility of language and cultural resources and the possibilities for their use. As part of the competition, **one project will be funded for €1.2 million**. The implementation period is set for 34 months. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until **September 23**. Thus, more than one million euros of state funding is planned to be directed towards the creation and development of digital tools for researching the Latvian language and culture, as well as the Livonian and Latgalian linguistic heritage.
