On the first day of the school year, September 1, all passengers of Rīgas satiksme buses, trolleybuses, and trams will be able to use public transport for free, the Rīgas satiksme company reported. At the same time, it will not be necessary to register the trip. This opportunity is provided by the mandatory rules of the Riga City Council regarding fare discounts. Additionally, with the start of the new school year and the end of the summer season, Riga's public transport will gradually transition to the autumn schedule. From September 1, the autumn schedule will come into effect on tram route No. 1, bus route No. 3, as well as trolleybus routes No. 4 and No. 17. From August 31 on weekdays and from September 5 on weekends, the schedule for buses No. 36 and No. 58 will change. Bus No. 58 will no longer travel to Vecaki and will return to the main route **“Purvciems — Vecmilgravis.”** Minor changes are also planned in the schedule of bus No. 56. Thus, on September 1, all passengers will be able to use Rīgas satiksme buses, trolleybuses, and trams for free, regardless of age and eligibility for discounts. It will not be necessary to register the trip on this day.
