“Now we also have updated information on Russia's production of ballistic missiles and its plans to increase this production. We will counter this, and it is important that there is appropriate sanctions support in the largest jurisdictions in the world. All supplies of parts, equipment, and machines that Russia uses to produce missiles must be completely blocked,” Zelensky wrote on Facebook after a conversation with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Oleksandr Hrytsenko. The President of Ukraine noted that Russia's ability to produce ballistic missiles is partly the responsibility of its international partners, as “without foreign components, the Russians are unable to implement any element of their missile program.” The President's Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, Vladyslav Vlasuk, stated that Ukraine expects synchronization of sanctions from international partners regarding identified Russian ballistic missile manufacturers, as well as increased export control over foreign-produced components. Vlasuk emphasized that electronic components produced in the USA, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, France, the UK, and Switzerland are still found in the studied Russian ballistic missile systems, particularly in the Iskander-M missiles and missiles used in the S-400 systems.
