The 2026/2027 season will be particularly eventful for KREMERATA BALTICA's international concert activities. For several months, the orchestra will go on tour — from Switzerland and Germany to Georgia and Italy. In September 2026, KREMERATA BALTICA will participate in a festival in Bruges, Switzerland — one of the significant events in classical music in the region. The festival gathers world-renowned soloists and chamber orchestras, offering diverse programs — from classical to contemporary music. On September 6, at the festival's opening concert, KREMERATA BALTICA will perform works by Felix Mendelssohn, Joseph Haydn, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Joining the orchestra will be brilliant soloists — cellist **Luka Coetzee**, one of the brightest musicians of her generation, who won the prestigious Paulo International Cello Competition in Helsinki at the age of 18, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the competition. Belgian violinist Pauline van der Rest and outstanding British violist Timothy Ridout will also take the stage, of whom *Gramophone* magazine noted: "Since Ridout made a striking debut on the international classical scene, not much time has passed, yet it is already hard to imagine the musical world without him and his unique sound." On September 7, KREMERATA BALTICA will perform at the festival alongside cellist **Magdalena Czeple**, pianist **Georgy Osokin**, and Swiss clarinetist Reto Bieri — a versatile musician with a distinct individual style, recognized internationally as a soloist, chamber performer, and curator of concert programs. Works by Mieczysław Weinberg, Ludwig van Beethoven, Aaron Copland, and Olli Mustonen will be featured. **From September 11 to 13, the XXIII International Chamber Orchestra Festival KREMERATA BALTICA "Jubilate Vijolissimo" will take place at the Dzintari Concert Hall, simultaneously opening the anniversary season dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Gidon Kremer and the 30th anniversary of KREMERATA BALTICA.** The concert on September 11 will be dedicated to KREMERATA BALTICA's Latvian composers and musicians. Premieres of new works by Jānis Ivanovs and Raivis Misjuns will take place, alongside compositions by Pēteris Vasks, Pēteris Plakidis, Talivaldis Keninš, and Renāte Stivriņa, as well as Symphony No. 14 *Sinfonia da Camera* by Jānis Ivanovs — in honor of the 120th anniversary of the composer's birth. For the first time, Jūrgis Cābulis will take the conductor's podium for KREMERATA BALTICA. Alongside Gidon Kremer and the soloists of KREMERATA BALTICA, pianist Reinis Zarins and violinist Laura Zarina will perform.  On September 12, the central place in the chamber program will be occupied by the works of KREMERATA BALTICA's resident composer Viktor Kissin. A special creative bond has united Kissin with Gidon Kremer and KREMERATA BALTICA since 2001. His works have repeatedly premiered with the orchestra and Kremer, and have also been immortalized in significant recordings, including the prestigious ECM album *Between Two Waves* (2013). At the concert in Dzintari, the premiere of Kissin's new work — Piano Quintet — will take place. His expansive Duo for Viola and Cello will also be performed. At the festival's concluding concert on September 13, KREMERATA BALTICA will perform alongside beloved Latvian pianist Reinis Zarins and **Julius Azal** — an artist of *Deutsche Grammophon*, "Rising Star Classic FM 2024", and one of the brightest pianists of his generation. Alongside piano concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach and Alfred Schnittke, the program will feature Joseph Haydn's Cello Concerto in D major. The soloist will be the rapidly internationally recognized Canadian-South African cellist Luka Coetzee. The program will also include works by Giya Kancheli, Giovanni Sollima, and Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber. From September 23 to 27, KREMERATA BALTICA will participate in a festival organized by the Kronberg Academy, dedicated this year to the 150th anniversary of the legendary cellist Pablo Casals. The Kronberg Academy is one of the leading global institutions in the education and professional development of young string players, uniting outstanding musicians, educators, and young talents.  On September 26, the orchestra will give two concerts in the main concert hall of the festival, performing alongside world-renowned mandolinist Avi Avital, virtuoso Sergey Nakariakov, known as the "Paganini of the trumpet", the founder of the orchestra Gidon Kremer, and other famous musicians. On October 15, KREMERATA BALTICA will perform at one of the main events of classical music life in Georgia — the XXXIV International Festival **Tbilisi Autumn**. And from October 18 to 21, the orchestra, along with Gidon Kremer, will go on a tour in Italy, giving four concerts in Bologna, Mantua, Varese, and Casale Monferrato. A special place in the Italian programs will be dedicated to contemporary music from the Baltic countries: works by Jānis Ivanovs, Raminte Šerkšnienė, and Alīson Krūma will be performed, dedicated to Gidon Kremer and KREMERATA BALTICA. Alongside them, music by Astor Piazzolla, which has been an important part of the orchestra's creative identity for many years, will also be performed. The anniversary celebrations will continue in Latvia. On November 28, 2026, a special program **"JUBILATE. KREMERATA. CĒSIS"** will be held at the Vidzeme Concert Hall "Cesis", featuring soloists of KREMERATA BALTICA alongside Gidon Kremer. The program will include works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Gustav Mahler, and Astor Piazzolla, as well as compositions by contemporary Baltic composers Jānis Ivanovs, Andrius Žlabas, and Alīson Krūma.  On November 29, at a concert at the **Ola Foundation** in Riga, Gidon Kremer will perform alongside pianist Rihards Plešanovs and the Kremerata Lettonica ensemble. The concert will be dedicated to the outstanding and widely recognized composer Talivaldis Keninš. The evening's program will feature chamber works from the recently released album "Dedication to Talivaldis Keninš". **On February 2, KREMERATA BALTICA will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Riga**, and in the spring, the orchestra will head to Asia for concerts in South Korea, China, and Hong Kong alongside one of the sensations of the contemporary piano scene, Luka Debarg. The tour program will be complemented by a week-long creative residency in Taiwan. Its focus will be not only on concerts but also on master classes, meetings, and collaborative music-making with representatives of the younger generation, continuing the educational traditions of KREMERATA BALTICA and the practice of international cooperation. Special events of the Kronberg Academy in Germany in March 2027 will also hold a significant place in the anniversary year. KREMERATA BALTICA will perform alongside leading violinists from around the world, including Gidon Kremer, Midori, and Alina Ibragimova. The international scope of the anniversary season will continue with performances at prestigious festivals such as **SWR Festival in Schwetzingen, festivals in Lichtenstein and Verbier**, as well as concerts in the largest European halls alongside world-renowned soloists, including piano stars Evgeny Kissin and Yefim Bronfman.
