Perez was ordered to return profits of $107,539 and pay a fine of $65,000 — a sum reduced for his "exemplary cooperation" with the investigation. Additionally, he has been banned from trading on such markets for three years. The White House is not commenting on the situation, but it was reported that Perez has been placed on unpaid leave and will not return to work, according to RTVI US.
