The fact of the attack has been confirmed by Russian authorities. According to the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, damage has been recorded in the port area and a fire has broken out. "As a result of the drone attack, damage has been recorded in the area of the Ust-Luga port, and a fire has occurred. Emergency services are working at the scene. Information about the consequences is being clarified. The reflection of the attack continues," Drozdenko wrote on Telegram. In a photo published by the monitoring channel Exilenova+, smoke can be seen rising over the strike site. Ust-Luga is the largest Russian port on the Baltic Sea. Its terminals handle oil and petroleum products, coal, and mineral fertilizers. Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian forces have repeatedly attacked the Ust-Luga port.
