The main character of the film, Ethan, inherits a large greenhouse after the death of his father. However, soon humanity faces a much more serious problem — an asteroid is approaching Earth. Shortly before the catastrophe, Ethan manages to take shelter in the family bunker. After the impact, he emerges to find a world that is almost destroyed and empty. Communication with other people has been lost, and the hero must search for food, shelter, and any signs of survivors on his own. Hope arises when Ethan picks up an unexpected message on the radio. Soon he meets other people who have survived the catastrophe. However, it becomes clear that in the new world, danger comes not only from the aftermath of the asteroid's fall: potential allies may turn out to be enemies. The creators of the film emphasize not so much the global catastrophe itself, but the loneliness, the struggle for survival, and the issue of trust among people in a world where familiar rules no longer apply. The directors of 'After Impact' are Michiel Rensen and Liam Carter. Rensen also plays the lead role and is one of the producers of the project. The cast includes Maxi Ouyan, Will Clagg, Ricky Antonovich, Lee-Anne Dirks, and Stephanie Ramloze. Initially, the story of 'After Impact' existed in the format of a mini-series published by Rensen on YouTube in 2022. Later, the project was reworked into a feature film. The digital release of the film will take place on September 15. The movie will be available on Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, YouTube Movies, and Cable On Demand.
