The artist left his family for Anastasia, but later she left Zhigunov, falling in love with Petr Chernyshev. For a long time, Sergey Viktorovich did not speak about Zavorotnyuk. However, he recently broke his silence. The series "My Fair Nanny" became one of the brightest TV hits of the 2000s. It raised more than one generation of children. The first season of the sitcom aired in 2004. The images of nanny Vika and Maxim Shatalin are firmly associated by viewers with Anastasia Zavorotnyuk and Sergey Zhigunov, whose tumultuous romance from the set smoothly flowed into real life. However, a year ago, a modern version of the soap opera titled "Nanny Oksana" was released. The main role in the sitcom was played by Olesya Ivanchenko, and her on-screen partner was Viktor Khorinyak. The series appeared on screens in the fall of 2025 and predictably sparked debates. Zhigunov has a calm attitude towards the new project. He stated that he trusts the professional intuition of producer Nikolai Kartozia. According to him, Kartozia surely understood why he was returning to a story beloved by everyone. "Kolia Kartozia is a very talented person and does nothing just for the sake of it. This means he had some motives for this. Well, they filmed it, and that's that. I don't see anything wrong with it," Sergey Viktorovich shared with journalists. He then spoke about Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, who died of cancer on May 29, 2024. The star noted that after the actress's death, the decision to revisit the story carried a certain delicate moment. "Perhaps there should be some awkwardness on his part regarding the recently deceased Nastya. But again, how to relate to this is a personal matter for everyone. Each person decides for themselves what is permissible and what is not..." the actor revealed. There was no consensus about the project among Zhigunov's colleagues from the sitcom either. Boris Smolkin, who played the butler Konstantin, reacted to the idea much more harshly. "I have a negative attitude towards all secondary projects. Why do this? We need to create something new! Original!" the artist stated. On the other hand, Olga Prokofyeva, whom viewers remember as the cantankerous Zhanna Arkadyevna, wished the new series a good journey. At the same time, she hoped that the script of the beloved story would not descend into vulgarity.
