A fire broke out again at the oil depot in Sochi on Monday morning. This was reported by the Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ and the Russian independent publication Astra, citing local residents' testimonies. According to their information, throughout the day after the initial fire, separate hotspots continued to smolder at the site. Later, the fire intensified again, leading to a new large-scale blaze. Local authorities urged Sochi residents not to open windows due to heavy smoke. Information about possible new damages or casualties has not yet been provided. The repeated ignition may indicate that it was not possible to completely eliminate the consequences of the previous fire. Such situations are possible at facilities with flammable materials, where separate hotspots continue to smolder after the main fire. The oil depot was damaged on Friday night during an attack by Ukrainian drones. According to previously published information, the strike was aimed at a Russian anti-aircraft artillery division in the Sochi area, and the fire occurred at the oil depot located on the territory of a military unit. Thus, a few days after the attack, the site was engulfed in flames again, and the situation on the ground remains tense.
