Residents of Latvia should be prepared for unstable weather on Thursday. Throughout the day, rain will pass across the country, with thunderstorms possible in some areas. At the same time, the weather will be uneven. Starting from the western regions, cloud cover will become less dense in places, and the sun will occasionally peek through. The air temperature will only warm up to +15...+18 degrees. During rain, in some areas, the temperature may drop to around +11 degrees, making the day feel quite cool. The most noticeable factor will be the wind. In the western and central parts of the country, gusts of south-western and western winds will reach 12–17 meters per second, while on the western coast of Kurzeme, they may reach up to 21 meters per second. Such gusts may complicate travel, especially on open stretches of road and along the coast. It is also worth considering the possibility of small branches and other unsecured objects falling. In Riga, rain is also expected at times, although there may be clearer skies in the afternoon. The air temperature will be +17...+18 degrees. Initially, gusts of southern wind will strengthen to 12 meters per second, and then shift to south-western wind with gusts of up to 15 meters per second. The weather in the country is determined by an area of low pressure. Atmospheric pressure will be 1004–1008 hectopascals.
